These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Yonora LLC ("Yonora", "we", "us") for use of the Yonora website, web app, mobile apps, messaging, calls, group calls, media sharing, business tools, and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use Yonora

2. The Service

Yonora provides private messaging, audio calls, video calls, group calls, status updates, media sharing, linked devices, and business messaging tools. Features may vary by device, operating system, app version, account type, country, network, permissions, and availability.

No emergency calling: Yonora is not a telephone service and cannot be used to call emergency numbers such as 911, 112, 999, or local emergency services. Use your regular phone service for emergencies.

3. Account security

4. Acceptable use and safety rules

You agree not to use Yonora to:

5. User content, ownership, and license

You own the content you create and send. You grant Yonora a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, revocable-to-the-extent-you-delete-content license to host, store, transmit, cache, display, reproduce, process, adapt for technical formatting, moderate, preserve, and back up your content only as needed to operate, secure, support, enforce, and improve the Service; comply with law; and protect users.

Recipients control their own devices and accounts. Messages or media you send may remain visible to recipients even after you delete your copy. "Delete for everyone" requests removal from recipients' apps where available, but Yonora cannot guarantee deletion from screenshots, downloads, notifications, backups, exports, or copies outside Yonora's control.

6. Reporting, blocking, moderation, and appeals

7. Business accounts and commercial use

8. Paid features, app marketplaces, and third parties

Yonora may offer paid tiers, subscriptions, storage, business plans, or other paid features. Prices, billing intervals, renewal terms, cancellation options, taxes, limits, and refund rules will be shown before purchase. Purchases made through an app marketplace or payment provider are also subject to that provider's payment and refund rules.

Third-party services such as device operating systems, hosting, push notifications, payment processors, internet providers, and app marketplaces are not controlled by Yonora and may have separate terms and privacy practices.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including the Yonora name, Y logo, software, designs, interfaces, features, documentation, and related intellectual property, is owned by Yonora or its licensors and protected by law. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service as permitted by these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or reverse engineer any part of the Service except where the law allows it.

10. Copyright and trademark complaints

If you believe content on Yonora infringes your copyright, trademark, or other rights, contact legal@yonora.net with enough information to identify the content, your rights, your contact information, and a statement that you believe the use is unauthorized. Yonora may remove or restrict allegedly infringing content and may terminate repeat infringers where required or appropriate.

11. Service changes, limits, and availability

Yonora may add, remove, suspend, limit, or change features; set limits on storage, forwarding, group size, calls, messages, attachments, business features, or account activity; and take measures to protect quality, safety, security, or legal compliance. Calls, messages, and notifications depend on internet access, device permissions, third-party networks, and app availability and are not guaranteed to be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or delivered.

12. Privacy and account deletion

The Privacy Policy explains what information Yonora collects and how it is used. You may delete your account using the in-app deletion flow or the Account and Data Deletion instructions. Some records may be retained for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, dispute, child-safety, security, or enforcement reasons.

13. Compliance with local laws

You are responsible for following laws that apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer, privacy, data-protection, digital-services, online-safety, app-marketplace, or other rights that cannot be waived by contract. If a term is not enforceable in your jurisdiction, it applies only to the fullest extent allowed by law and the rest of the Terms remain in effect.

14. Termination

You may stop using Yonora and delete your account at any time. Yonora may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create legal or safety risk, harm users, misuse the Service, create fraud or security risk, violate third-party rights, or remain inactive for an extended period. Where practical and appropriate, Yonora may provide notice or an opportunity to correct the issue.

15. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yonora disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and uninterrupted operation. Yonora does not warrant that the Service will be secure, error-free, or that content will not be lost.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yonora will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunities, reputation, or content. Yonora's total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid Yonora for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

17. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold Yonora, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, licensors, and service providers harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses arising from your content, your use of the Service, your business activities, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your violation of another person's rights, except where prohibited by law.

18. Dispute resolution, governing law, and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where local consumer law requires otherwise. Courts located in Maryland will have jurisdiction, unless the law of your country or state of residence gives you the right to bring a claim locally.

Before filing a legal claim, you agree to contact legal@yonora.net and try to resolve the issue informally for at least 30 days, unless an urgent injunction, safety issue, intellectual-property issue, or law requires otherwise. Where lawful and after attorney review, Yonora may require individual arbitration and a class-action waiver in a separate arbitration addendum or updated Terms. This document does not force arbitration unless Yonora separately adopts enforceable arbitration terms.

19. Force majeure

Yonora is not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, including network failures, hosting outages, cyberattacks, natural disasters, emergencies, government actions, labor disruptions, power failures, or third-party service outages.

20. Changes to these Terms

Yonora may update these Terms. We will post the updated version and, for material changes, provide notice through the app, website, email, or another reasonable method where required. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms, except where law requires a different process.
