Yonora is built around a simple principle: your conversations are yours. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we protect it, and the rights you have over your data.
Account information: name, email address, phone number (if you connect SMS), and password (hashed). Connected accounts: the messaging accounts you authorize Yonora to access (WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, TikTok, X, email). Message metadata: timestamps, sender/recipient identifiers, message size, delivery status, group membership, device used. We do not store the encrypted content of your messages. Device & usage: device type, OS version, app version, IP address, approximate location from IP, crash logs, and feature-usage events.
To deliver the service: routing messages, syncing across devices, providing AI reply suggestions, securing your account, and improving Yonora's performance and reliability. We process data based on the following legal bases under GDPR: (a) contract — to provide the service you signed up for; (b) legitimate interests — to secure the service and prevent abuse; (c) consent — for optional features like AI replies; (d) legal obligations — to comply with applicable law.
All messages are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We cannot read your conversations. AI features run on your device whenever possible; when server processing is required, content is encrypted with rotating keys and discarded immediately after the response. We never use your message content to train AI models — ours or third parties'.
Yonora's AI suggests draft replies based on your past messages and brand tone. These suggestions are recommendations only — you always have final approval before anything is sent. We do not make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you (GDPR Article 22).
When you connect WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, TikTok, X, or email, Yonora acts as a client on your behalf using each platform's official API or interface where available. Each platform's own privacy policy continues to apply to messages on that platform. Review them directly:
WhatsApp · Meta (Instagram & Messenger) · TikTok · X (Twitter)
We do not sell or rent your personal data — ever. We share data only with: (a) infrastructure sub-processors (cloud hosting, email delivery, payment processing) under strict contracts; (b) law enforcement when legally compelled, after challenging overbroad requests; (c) a successor entity in case of merger or acquisition, subject to the same protections.
Data is stored in the United States. For users in the European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland, transfers are protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (2021) and supplementary measures.
Our website uses only essential cookies for sign-in and security. We do not run third-party advertising trackers, fingerprinting scripts, or behavioral profiling. Analytics are anonymized and aggregated. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features may not work.
Active accounts: we retain data while your account is active. Messages & metadata: stored only as long as needed for delivery and sync (typically 30–90 days). Logs & diagnostics: 30 days. Account deletion: data is erased within 90 days of your deletion request, except where retention is required by law (e.g. tax records — 7 years).
Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws, you have the right to: access a copy of your data, correct inaccuracies, delete your data, restrict processing, port your data to another service, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent at any time. Email info.yonora@gmail.com with the subject "Data Request" and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Yonora is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If we learn we have, we will delete it promptly. Parents who believe their child has provided data should contact us.
We protect your data with industry-standard measures: end-to-end encryption, AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, role-based access control, audit logs, two-factor authentication, regular security testing, and a vulnerability disclosure program. SOC 2 Type II audit in progress.
California residents have additional rights to know what personal information is collected, sold (we don't sell), and disclosed; to request deletion; and to opt out of sale of personal information. We do not discriminate against users who exercise their rights.
We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app message at least 30 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.

This DPA applies to business customers who use Yonora to process personal data of their own end-customers (e.g., business inboxes receiving messages from buyers). It supplements the Terms of Service and forms a binding addendum upon your acceptance of those Terms.
The business customer is the Data Controller. Yonora is the Data Processor and processes personal data only on documented instructions from the Controller, as set out in the Terms of Service and this DPA.
Data subjects: the Controller's end-customers, employees, and contacts. Data types: names, email addresses, phone numbers, message content, attachments, conversation metadata, profile information, and any other personal data the Controller routes through Yonora.
Processing continues for as long as the Controller uses Yonora. The purpose is solely to provide the messaging, CRM, and communication services described in the Terms — nothing else.
End-to-end encryption, encryption at rest (AES-256), TLS 1.3 in transit, role-based access control, audit logs, multi-factor authentication for staff, regular penetration testing, vulnerability disclosure program, and 24/7 incident monitoring. SOC 2 Type II audit in progress.
We use the following categories of sub-processors. A current list with specific vendor names is available on request to info.yonora@gmail.com:
We notify Controllers of new sub-processors at least 30 days in advance, allowing reasonable objection. All sub-processors are bound by contractual obligations equivalent to this DPA.
Data is stored in the United States. For Controllers in the European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland, transfers are protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Module 2 / 2021 version, Commission Implementing Decision EU 2021/914) and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, with supplementary measures including encryption-in-transit and at-rest.
Yonora will assist the Controller in responding to data subject requests (access, rectification, deletion, restriction, portability, objection) within 5 business days of the Controller's documented instruction, providing technical means to fulfill the request where applicable.
We will notify the Controller of any confirmed personal data breach without undue delay, and within 72 hours where feasible. Notification will include: nature of breach, categories and approximate number of data subjects affected, likely consequences, and measures taken to mitigate.
The Controller may audit Yonora's compliance with this DPA once per calendar year, on at least 30 days' written notice, during normal business hours, at the Controller's expense, subject to confidentiality obligations. The Controller may accept our third-party audit reports (SOC 2 Type II) in lieu of on-site audits.
Each party's aggregate liability under this DPA is limited to the fees paid by the Controller to Yonora in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the liability. Limits do not apply to: (a) breach of confidentiality, (b) gross negligence or willful misconduct, (c) indemnification obligations, or (d) where prohibited by applicable law.
Yonora ensures that personnel authorized to process personal data are bound by written confidentiality obligations and have received appropriate data protection training.
On termination of the service, at the Controller's choice, Yonora will either: (a) return all personal data in a commonly used machine-readable format within 30 days, or (b) delete all personal data within 90 days. We will provide written confirmation of deletion. Backups are purged in the normal rotation cycle (max 35 days).
If any term in the Terms of Service conflicts with this DPA, this DPA prevails for the processing of personal data.
